Alertie

Note: Peony ship starting in mid-November based on availability and your zone, unlike other products. Plant upon arrival. As long as the soil is not frozen and is workable, peony roots can be planted.

Alertie is an early-blooming herbaceous Peony with soft pink, double blooms that gradually fade to white with a light pink blush. The flowers are about 6" across and have a sweet, classic peony fragrance. It grows 28–32" tall and blooms in late spring to early summer. Hardy in Zones 3–8, Alertie is a reliable variety with attractive green foliage and is a lovely choice for cut flowers.

Alertie is sold as one root with 3-5 eyes.

 Fall Planting Instructions: 

1. Choose an area with at least 6 hours of sunlight with soil that has good drainage.

2. Dig a hole 12-18” deep. Mix soil with an all-purpose fertilizer. Add the amended and loosened soil back into the hole.

3. Place Peony roots 2-3” under the soil line with eyes facing upward, and then gently pack the soil over the roots.

4. Water well.
